In the 1970s, excavations were carried out in Bulgaria, during which this very rare and rich tomb was discovered that surprised the world and revealed aspects of a new culture to the world.

Excavations in Bulgaria are not the only tombs found, many tombs similar to this one have been found there.

But among all the bones, this tomb is always the most talked about. Now once again this tomb has become a topic of discussion around the world.

The grave that has become the most talked-about one contained gold, various ornaments, a heavy copper axe, and decorated pottery.

Due to the fact that many undesirable practices were prevalent at that time, pots and ornaments were kept along with the dead body as per the culture of the axe.

Tomb number 43 is the most special

This grave became much talked about because there was something special about it compared to others.

According to the archaeologists who excavated this place, a preliminary guess is that this tomb may belong to a great king or chieftain of that time.

Excavations are going on all over the world, but archaeologists do not find something every time they dig, when excavations were going on in Bulgaria, archaeologists were excavating in similar conditions, but here they found many different types of graves.

The reason behind the assumption that grave number 43 is that of a chieftain or king is that various gold objects were buried along with small copper axe or knife.

No gold items or various ornaments and carvings were found along with the clothes that were usually in the other graves.

22000 artifacts were found in various tombs

From all the graves, when the archaeologists classified the different objects after excavating them, they totalled 22000 objects.

Similarity will be seen in every grave. In some graves, pottery was also found while in some graves only gold objects were found.

Former aristocrats used to decorate his grave with various gold ornaments, small gold animals, engraved pottery, and many other such things.

The extent to which all these are kept varies from culture to culture. If someone was very rich, a little more gold items would be found in his grave and if someone was a chieftain, a little less items would be found in his grave.

Placing gold ornaments in the grave is a religious matter

Archaeologists have linked them to religious matters through the discovery of gold ornaments or various gold objects and pottery or gold waist belts in many graves, but still, some scientists have also associated these things with undesirable customs.

Even then, different religious ideas have been found in each community. The amount of gold found in gold samples helped archaeologists to understand the religious aspects of the buried people of that time.

A copper axe found in a grave

The type of weapons found in the graves has led archaeologists to speculate that they may have had weapons for self-defence or that they may have been war heroes. At that time, human eyes were more interested in wars.

weapons of different may have been used in war fare. Scientists have also tried to establish what kind of warfare they used to do by inferring from the few copper ingots found in the graves as well as the weapons that were made of copper or other metals.

It can also be proved to a large extent that the weapon found with them is likely to be for hunting as well. Individuals or Chieftain and even kings of that time were very fond of hunting. They used to get pleasure from hunting and also eat fish.

Separate graves of men and women

Pregnant women were also found in some of the graves, the graves where the pregnant women were found had shiny knives and other gold ornaments, but no large weapons were found in the graves, which means that the group was led by the men and the women did the rest. Archaeologists make such predictions.

Some of the women died while pregnant and in such cases, they were thrown into the grave and as part of their religious rituals, some items were placed in the grave like a shiny copper knife.

Women’s make-up items have also been found in graves at that time, which means that it was a practice to keep these items on the grave even after the body was placed.
